DAVIDSON, N.C. - Aggie freshman Allie Lehner scored her first career hat trick and sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Majka saved nine of the 26 shots she faced, but UC Davis was unable to hold off three separate scoring runs in a 15-10 loss to Davidson in women's collegiate lacrosse action at Richardson Stadium Thursday evening.

The Aggies even their record at 2-2. The Wildcats pick up their first win, improving to 1-2.

Lehner scored three goals with an assist while scooping up five draw controls for UC Davis. Elizabeth Landry and Elizabeth Datino each scored two goals, and junior Stephanie Guercio posted a team-best three caused turnovers. However, the Aggies shot just 10-for-33, including 6-for-23 after the halftime break.

For Davidson, junior Alanna Parker, sophomore Erin Doherty and Emily Cooke each tallied three goals, helping the team hit 15 of 26 for a .577 shooting average. The Wildcats scored the bulk of their offense in three bunches: a 4-0 run in the game's first eight minutes, a stretch of six unanswered from the 11:20 mark in the first half through early in the second, plus another 4-0 streak midway in the second half.

The Aggies managed to erase the first-half hole with four straight goals of their own. Datino netted two goals while Lehner and junior Anna Geissbuhler had one in a span of 2:23, equalizing the game at 4-4. But Doherty responded with back-to-back goals in the 20th and 22nd minutes, helping the Panthers craft a 9-4 halftime edge.

UC Davis reduced the margin to four on two different occasions after the intermission but never approached any closer. Landry converted an assist from Datino with 4:29 to go, helping the Aggies score three straight down the stretch to reach double figures.

The Aggies complete their first major road trip with a game at Virginia Tech on Saturday. This marks the first time UC Davis has ever faced an Atlantic Coast Conference member in women's lacrosse.
