Final Stats

DENVER, Colo. - The freshman trio of Alden Monger, Megan O'Connor and Katie McMahon combined for 10 goals as UC Davis set a team single-game scoring record in a 22-2 win over Regis University in collegiate women's lacrosse action Monday. Monger scored a game-high five goals on five shots off the bench, her first offensive output of the year.

The Aggies even their record to 2-2. Regis drops to 0-4 on the season.

McMahon performed her third straight hat trick, recording three goals and three assists. Senior Kelly Albin added four goals and an assist, while Leslie Kado contributed a 3-1-4 offensive line. Kristen Braasch posted five saves in net against just eight Ranger shots.

UC Davis attacked early, with Albin and midfielder Jessie Donohoue each scoring goals within the first 1:32 of play. McMahon and Albin tacked on two more goals before Regis reached the board on a Katie Ryan-assisted goal to Caroline Herter in the 12th minute. The Aggies led 10-1 at the halftime, then added goals by Kado and sophomore Tiffany Lee early in the second half to conclude an 8-0 run.

RU midfielder Colleen Merrick broke the streak with an unassisted goal at the 34:51 mark, but that would be the last time the Rangers found the UC Davis cage. Monger broke loose for three more goals and Albin scored two in a string of 10 unanswered Aggie goals to end the game. In all, UC Davis pelted the Rangers with 45 total shots.

The 22 goals stands as the highest scoring output in Aggie history, breaking the old mark of 21, set against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in 2000.

UC Davis hosts Lehigh (Pa.) on Tuesday, its third game in as many days.
