DAVIS, Calif. - Freshman attacker Amanda Outcalt recorded career highs of five goals and four assists while sophomores Taylor Cuenin and Shannon Cross also added hat tricks, boosting UC Davis to a 19-7 win over Quinnipiac in a non-conference women's lacrosse game at Aggie Stadium Sunday afternoon.

The Aggies improve to 3-4 for the season.

Outcalt's nine total points represents a season high for any UC Davis player this year. Cuenin added three assists to her four goals for seven points, while notching defensive game highs of three caused turnovers and seven ground balls. Cross fired in three goals with two assists to boot, while senior Melissa Kellan and junior Kate Fellner added two goals each.

UC Davis led for 55 of the game's 60 minutes. Allison Kuhn put QU on the board in the fourth minute, but the Aggies quickly took over the advantage. Outcalt assisted on goals by Cuenin and Fellner while scoring on an unassisted drive of her own to lead a run of five unanswered. The freshman marine and coastal science major from Alamo also had goals in the 23rd and 26th minutes to complete her second hat trick of the year. UC Davis led 10-4 at halftime.

The Aggies and Bobcats traded goals to start the second half, but Outcalt and Cross each had two more tallies in a 7-0 UC Davis run from the 38th through 54th minutes. That run culminated on the first career goal by sophomore reserve Carolina Tweedy, setting the board at 19-6.

Overall, UC Davis outshot its guest by a 44-14 margin, won six more ground balls (23-17), dominated the draw (20-7) and failed on only one of 16 transition attempts.

Ashley Bobinski and Alex Hlesciak each had two goals while goalie Kyle Larkin posted 16 saves for QU.

The Aggies conclude their four-game homestand on Thursday against Columbia.
