BANNER ELK, N.C. - Midfielder Naomi Coffman posted six goals and two assists while teammate Leslie Kado recorded three goals and four assists to lead No. 2 UC Davis to a 23-0 win over Lees-McRae College of North Carolina in a women's collegiate lacrosse game at Pfeiffer College Wednesday.

The 23 goals eclipses the Aggies' previous team record of 21, set against Claremont in 2000. Additionally, Coffman's six scores and Kado's four assists each tie individual UC Davis marks.

UC Davis, which posts its second shutout win of the year, improves to 5-3 on the season. The Bobcats fall to 1-5 overall.

Ten different Aggies contributed to the scoring column with Jaime Fitzpatrick adding a hat trick and Kate Hanson, Tiffany Lee and Erin Mann each provided two goals each. Mann, a senior co-captain and a three-year starter on defense, tripled her career scoring total with that output. In fact, several backline players appeared on the offensive chart as junior Shannon Robinson and sophomore Jackie Milhoan each earned their first goal of their careers. A fourth defender, sophomore Maureen Leahy, added two assists.

Stacy Sugarman, Liz Collett and Jessie Donohoue accounted for the balance of the scoring with one goal each. Kristen Braasch earned her second career shutout in net, collecting five saves. The Aggies face top-ranked Longwood on Thursday.
