Senior Tandem Lifts Aggies Past No. 5 Limestone

GAFFNEY, S.C. - Senior Jamie Fitzpatrick scored four goals and added an assist while fellow senior Kate Hanson posted a goal and four assists to lead UC Davis to a 12-6 win over No. 5 Limestone College in a women's collegiate lacrosse game Saturday.

The Aggies, ranked No. 2 in the Warrior/Inside Lacrosse Power Poll and No. 3 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll, improve to 7-3 on the season and stay unbeaten among Division II South Region competition. The Saints drop to 8-2 on the year.

Junior Naomi Coffman also posted a hat trick for UC Davis. Leslie Kado contributed three assists along with her one goal. Freshman Tiffany Lee added two goals and an assist for the Aggies, who led 6-2 at the break.

"The all knew what they had to so and responded like it was a business trip," said UC Davis head coach Elaine Jones. "They took care of business."

Sophomore Kristen Braasch compiled 14 saves in net for the Aggies.

UC Davis completes its five-day, four-game road trip with a matchup at Pfeiffer College Sunday.
