Junior attack Leslie Kado scored three goals and posted a pair of assists
to lead UC Davis to a 10-5 win over Millersville University in a women's
collegiate lacrosse game Saturday. The Aggies exploded for eight second-half
goals after leading just 2-1 at the halftime break.
UC Davis, ranked No. 1 in both the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches
Assocation and Warrior/Inside Lacrosse polls, improve to 8-4 overall and
5-1 against the NCAA Division II South Region. The Marauders, who fell out
of the IWLCA rankings this week, drop to 3-4 on the year.
Naomi Coffman contributed two goals and two assists for the Aggies while
Jessie Donohoue tabulated two goals, an assist and a season-high nine ground
balls. Tiffany Lee, Kate Hanson and Jaime Fitzpatrick also scored a goal
for UC Davis. Goalkeeper Kristen Braasch recorded 9 saves in net.
The Aggies complete their three-game road trip with a contest against
Indiana University of Pennsylvania, to be played at West Chester.
