WEST CHESTER, Pa.
-- Senior attack wing Jaime Fitzpatrick
posted a school-record seven goals to lead UC Davis to a 16-3 win over Indiana University of Pennsylvania in a collegiate women's lacrosse game held at West Chester University Sunday.
The Aggies, ranked No. 1 in last week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll, improve to 9-4 on the season, including a 6-1 ledger against NCAA D-II South Region opponents. The Indians drop to 2-8 for the year.
Junior Leslie Kado contributed three goals and two assists for UC Davis while Stacy Sugarman added a line of 3-1-4. Tifffany Lee added two goals and Kate Hanson put up a goal and two assists. Kristen Braasch recorded seven saves in net for the Aggies.
Fitzpatrick's scoring output surpasses the previous school record of six, held jointly by teammate Naomi Coffman and Allison Stonebarger, who set first set the mark in 1999. Furthermore, Fitzpatrick added three assists to give her 10 total points. She ecplipsed the previous Aggie record of nine, shared by Stonebarger and 2002 All-American Kelly Albin.
The Aggies' next competition is a Mountain Pacific Lacrosse League matchup at UC Berkeley on April 19, the team's eighth straight road game.
