Katie Mac Attacks Again As Aggies Pummel Bryant

April 16, 2004

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Freshman Katie McMahon scored five goals and teammate Naomi Coffman added four more as UC Davis beat Bryant College, 19-5, in a non-conference women's lacrosse game at Bulldog Stadium Friday.

The Aggies, ranked second in this week's Inside Lacrosse Division II Power Poll, improves to 8-3 on the season. The Bulldogs drop to 6-5 overall.

Sophomore Tiffany Lee and seniors Leslie Kado, Kelly Albin and Stacy Sugarman each contributed two goals as part of the UC Davis offensive output. Kado also posted a game-high four assists, while Albin and center Naomi Coffman added two each. Kristen Braasch posted six saves in net for the Aggies, who led 8-2 at the halftime break.

Junior Melissa Talamini led Bryant with two goals, both in the second half. Shaun Leddy posted one goal and one assist for the Bulldogs.

McMahon has now enjoyed six games with five or more goals. Her season total of 44 goals ranks fourth on the school's single-season list and is one shy from entering her in UC Davis' career top-10 list.
