LATROBE, Pa. -
Sophomore Katie McMahon scored eight of her team's 15 goals as UC Davis shut out St. Vincent College, 15-0, in a non-conference women's collegiate lacrosse game Sunday.
The Aggies improve to 8-5 overall.
Senior Jackie Milhoan and freshman Katie McGovern each had two goals and an assist in the victory. Nicole Frantz, Tiffany Lee and Megan Miller also added one goal each.
The win also marks the third shutout win in program history, excluding those against club teams. UC Davis previously blanked Regis University in 2003 and 2000. Freshman goalie Hilary Harkins earned the credit for the shutout.
With her eight goals Sunday, McMahon finished the three-game road trip with a total of 15 goals and four assists. She now has 48 goals on the season, moving her into fourth on UC Davis' single-season scoring list. McMahon set the school standard with 66 goals as a freshman last season.
The Aggies return home to resume Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action, hosting Denver University on April 22 and Saint Mary's on April 27.
