REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - Stanford beat UC Davis in all three races contested during the dual matchup on Saturday morning at Redwood Shores as the Aggies returned to action after final exams.
The Cardinal posted wins over UC Davis in varsity eight, second varsity eight and novice four races.
Stanford took an early lead against the Aggies in the varsity eight race, eventually crossing the finish line in 6 minutes, 43.06 seconds. UC Davis finished the 2,000-meter race in 6:57.51.
The Cardinal's second varsity eight also rowed to victory, falling behind early before coming back to win in 6:57.04, ahead of the Aggies which were timed in 7:14.94.
Stanford's novice four completed the sweep with a 14-second victory over UC Davis. The Cardinal finished in 8:13.94 while UC Davis was clocked in 8:27.84.
"We had good, solid consistent racing," said Aggie coach Emily Plesser. "We're looking forward to getting back to the home water on Monday to really begin to fine tune for San Diego and finish off spring break well."
The Aggies will travel to San Diego next Saturday and Sunday for the prestigious San Diego Crew Classic.
