Trio Of Aggies Named Rowing Scholar-Athletes

DAVIS, Calif. - Lucci Lautze and Sarah Schulze were named Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association for the second consecutive year while Angeliki Bundros earned recognition for the first time as UC Davis placed three outstanding rowers on the academic squad.

Honored student-athletes each had GPA's of at least 3.50 and were in at least their second year of eligibility in 2008.

Lautze, a junior from San Francisco, is majoring in mathematics, Schulze is a junior from Tiburon double-majoring in political science and Native American Studies, and Bundros is a sophomore from Gilroy majoring in psychology.

UC Davis enjoyed an oustanding rowing season this past spring, capturing titles in varsity eight competition at the San Diego Crew Classic and Dad Vail Regatta and posting four wins in dual matchups in April against rival Sacramento State.
