DAVIS, Calif. - Seven outstanding student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the UC Davis women's rowing team and will join the Aggies this fall, it was announced by head coach Carissa Adams.
Joining UC Davis are Lily Dickson of Saratoga High School, Carly Greer of High Tech High School in San Diego; Jamie Kertz of Dana Hill High School in Dana Point, Jessica Kepes of Northwood High School in Irvine, Rachel Morowitz of San Mateo High School, Haleigh King of Los Alamitos High School, and Jen Sheldon of California High School in San Ramon.

LILY DICKSON (Saratoga HS/Saratoga, Calif.)
Member of Los Gatos Rowing Club varsity eight which placed sixth in June at national championships in Cincinnati, Ohio... Team earned spot at USRowing Youth National Championships after placing second in Southwest Region.... Was also member of lightweight crew that earned a second-place regional finish... Volunteer for Veteran's Affairs Hospital.

CARLY GREER (High Tech HS/San Diego, Calif.)
Member of San Diego Rowing Club varsity eight and lightweight eight crews for the past three years... Rowed in novice eight and frosh four plus coxswain in 2005-06... Earned Most Improved Award in 2006-07... Lightweight 2x crew took third at Southwest Regional in 2008, earning spot at USRowing Youth National Championships where it placed ninth... Greer received Most Inspirational Award in 2008... Member of lighweight eight in 2009... Interned in 2008 for San Diego Prevention Coalition... Volunteered for American Red Cross in 2007.

JAMIE KERTZ (Dana Hills HS/Dana Point, Calif.)
Member of Newport Aquatic Center Rowing Club for past three years.

JESSICA KEPES (Northwood High School/Irvine, Calif.)
Member of Newport Aquatic Center Rowing Club... Also participated on varsity lacrosse team and junior varsity soccer and volleyball teams at Northwood High School... Transferred from Andover High School in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., where she participated in three sports, serving as captain for a pair of JV squads... Otter Club President (2007, 2008)... Volunteered as church camp counselor and for beach cleanup crews.

RACHEL MOROWITZ (San Mateo High School/San Mateo, Calif.)
Four-year member of Northern California Crew Club... California Scholarship Federation member... Attended youth leadership forum on medicine in 2007... Plays tenor sax in jazz band.

HALEIGH KING (Los Alamitos High School/Los Alamitos, Calif.)
Member of Long Beach Junior Crew... On novice boat that placed third at Southwest Regional Championships in 2008.... Four-year member of Principal's Honor Roll... AP Scholar (2008), National Honor Society... Is also a certifiied scuba diver.

JEN SHELDON (California High School/San Ramon, Calif.)
Member of Oakland Strokes Rowing Club... Rowed in novice B boat that earned second-place finish at Southwest Regional Championships.... People-to-People Sports Ambassador to New Zealand, Australia and Fiji in 2007... Named a Scholar-Athlete.
