DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis women's rowing team will hold an informational meeting on Oct. 1 and 2 at 6 p.m. at Wellman Hall for those interested in joining the program. Interested women can attend either meeting.

No experience is necessary to join the rowing team. In fact, more than half of the student-athletes in the varsity eight boat this past season did not start rowing until they came to UC Davis. Similarily, half of the rowers in this year's gold-medal winning U.S. boat at the Beijing Olympics did not have high school rowing experience and learned to row at their respective universities.

If you are reasonably tall, athletic, enjoy competitive sports in a great team atmosphere and want to be a varsity student-athlete at UC Davis, please plan to attend either of the meetings on Oct. 1 or Oct. 2. An information packet is available for downloading on the top of this page.

UC Davis Athletics puts the student first. Academic support, flexible scheduling and a cooperative environment help ensure that the Aggies' enjoy success in the classroom as well as on the field, in the gym or at the boathouse.
