 Two-year letterwinner... Helped her team win a CIF and Southern California Regional title during her junior season... The following year, La Costa Canyon advanced to the semifinal round of the CIF playoffs... Team posted a combined 36-8-7 record during her last two years on campus... San Diego Union-Tribune selected her to its list of 2016 scholar-athletes... Member of the California Scholastic Federation and National Honors Society all four years.

PERSONAL: Born in San Jose, California... Middle of Jon and Anne Van Winkle's three children... Her aunt, Melissa Vanderlaan, and uncle, Bob Vanderlaan, are UC Davis alums... Both of Van Winkle's parents graduated from UC Davis as well... Anne was a member of the Aggies' women's crew team... Competed for San Diego Surf Soccer (San Diego) for six years... Her club team with an Elite Clubs National League championship in 2014... Not many people know that she loves graphic design and art... Playing soccer at UC Davis, her dream school, is her proudest personal accomplishment... Catarina Macario is the best athlete she has competed against... Would choose volleyball if she could play another sport at UC Davis... Neymar is her sports hero... Mrs. Mills, her fifth grade teacher, is her non-sports hero... Going to the beach and bike riding are her favorite hobbies, outside of playing soccer... Swimming the Red Sea, skydiving and having kids are the top three things on her bucket list... The positive atmosphere, amazing school and coaching staff are the reasons she chose UC Davis.
