Four-year starter at midfielder and defender... Helped team to 20 wins, a fourth consecutive league crowns and a CIF-SS title as a senior... Graduated magna cum laude (for GPAs between 4.0-4.39)... Won senior scholar-athlete awards from Ventura Suburban Kiwanis and Buena Soccer... Also lettered in cross country and track, winning Channel League 800 championship in 2007... Played for Real SoCal (Woodland Hills, Calif.) for seven years, helping team to league cup.

PERSONAL: Born in Ventura, Calif.... Majoring in neurobiology, physiology & behavior.. Parents are Steve & Annie Ellberg... Steve was a swimmer at Cal in the early 1980's... Older sister, Grace, also attends UC Davis... Few people know she raised pigs for nine years as part of 4-H.
