Aggies honor six on Senior Day
Thursday's 4 p.m. home match is women's soccer's last of the season
2008: Appeared in 12 games with 11 starts...Tied for second on the team with 3 goals and tied for third with 6 points...First goal came on a penalty kick at Fresno State (8/24) to tie the game at 2-2 in an eventaul 3-2 win for the Aggies...Next goal came three games later against UCF (9/7) as she broke a scoreless tie in the 72nd minute on an assist by Marisa Boge...Final goal was a dramtic 30-yard strike on a free kick with less than three minutes to go at Nevada (9/28) to give the Aggies a 2-1 victory...Led the team with 46 shots, including a season-high 8 against UCF.
2007: Started all 18 games...Finished third on the team in goals (4) and points (9)...One of just five Aggies to start every game and joins Rochelle VanBuskirk and Jordan Martin as the only returning players with that distinction...Led the Aggies with 45 shots...Began her scoring in the third game of the year against South Carolina (9/7) when she scored the Aggies' only goal after connecting in the 74th minute...Assisted VanBuskirk's goal in the 79th minute against Sacramento State (9/16) in a game UC Davis would go on to win in double overtime...Powered in a 35-yard unassisted blast in 24th minute against Cal State Northridge (10/5) before scoring again 15 minutes later to account for both Aggie goals in an eventual 2-1 victory...Final goal of the year came against UC Riverside (10/14) in which she broke a scoreless tie with five minutes remaining in regulation.
CAMPOLINDO HS '07: Selected as Diablo Foothill Athletic League MVP as a junior and senior... Three-time All-DFAL first-team pick... Led team to North Coast Section championships for three straight years... Named on Contra Costa Times Select Team and Top 100 Athletes lists... Garnered CIF-NCS Scholar-Athlete honors for four years... Played club ball for California Northstars and Diablo Valley Black Pearl... Northstars advanced to State Cup quarterfinals in 2005 and 2006... Team also won Nomad College Showcase and USSC National Cup III titles, as well as reaching finals of Surf Cup and U.S. Youth Soccer Association regionals... Member of Super Y League national and regional ODP teams.
PERSONAL: Born in Berkeley, Calif.... Majoring in environmental toxicology... Parents are Peter & Cheralyn Faber... Career highlight was beating rival Miramonte HS in 2007 section semifinals, requiring two overtimes and penalty kicks... Participated in swimming for 12 years before turning to soccer.
