BISHOP O'DOWD HIGH SCHOOL '13:Earned four varsity letters as a member of Bishop O'Dowd's girls' soccer and tennis teams... Earned Hayward Area all-league and Bishop O'Dowd Defensive Player of the Year accolades as a sophomore and junior... Selected to the Western Alameda County Conferences' all-league team as a junior and senior... Her women's soccer teammates selected her as their captain in 2012 and '13... Earned North Coast Section championships in 2009, '10 and '12... During those three seasons, Bishop O'Dowd compiled a collective record of 63-5-9... Named a NCS Scholar Athlete as a junior and senior.

PERSONAL:Parents are Alice and Michael Ranahan... Has two older siblings, Drew and Charlie, who attend Virginia Tech and Washington respectively... Enjoys attending professional sporting events and hiking in her free time... Her greatest athletics accomplishment took place when she converted a penalty kick in a NCS championship game in 2013... Mia Hamm is her sports hero... She selected UC Davis because, "I knew it would give me a great education and athletic experience."... If she won a million dollars, she would save some of it and give the rest to charity... Would love to visit Tanzania... "Everything happens for a reason," is her advice to others... Competed for the Bay Oaks Soccer Club, in Oakland, for nine years... Throughout her tenure with Bay Oaks, she was a nine-year starter and a team captain from 2009-13.
