ALISO NIGUEL HS '13:Four-time team Defender of the Year... Earned All-Southern Section as a junior and senior center defender... Competed in the CIF, state and national Boosted team to Southern Section titles in each of final two seasons, plus a Southern California region title as a junior... Named Aliso Niguel's Defender of the Year all four seasons... In 2012, Smolinski earned all-league and all-CIF second team accolades... As a senior, she received all-county first team and all-CIF first team honors... Wolverines went 23-1-4 in 2011-12, garnering state and national No. 1 ranking... Class valedictorian, holding 4.0 GPA or better all four years... Also garnered school's Esprit de Wolverine award for outstanding academic achievements in 2011 and 2012... Played club ball for SC Blues (San Juan Capistrano), helping team to Regional Cup, Regional League and National League championships in 2012.

PERSONAL:Born in Huntington Beach, Calif.... Majoring in animal science... Parents are Michael and Fabienne Smolinski... Plans on becoming a veterinarian... Proudest personal accomplishment was earning valedictorian at ANHS... Fun fact: named her car after a Japanese cartoon character... Enjoys reading and listening to music... Being named her school's valedictorian is her most meaningful personal accomplishment... Winning the CIF Championship in 2012 is her all-time athletic highlight... Her other favorite sport to compete in other than soccer is innertube water polo... Her favorite facility is the Nike Manchester United Cup venue... Her favorite non-sports hero is her grandpa... If she won a million dollars, she would take her family on a vacation and donate to charity... If she were to write an autobiography, it would be titled, "The Chronicles of N(icole)arnia"... Would love to visit Australia one day.
