2016: BIG WEST ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM... ALL-BIG WEST HONORABLE MENTION... BIG WEST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK (10/17)... Ended the season with the following rankings, among all Big West players: No. 7 in goals per game (0.29) and No. 9 in goals (4)... Ends her UC Davis career ranked No. 1 in the program’s Division I history in shots on goal per game (1.12), No. 3 in goals per game, tied for No. 3 in penalty kicks made (2), No. 4 in shots per game (2.21), No. 5 in points per game (0.55), tied for No. 8 in goals (9), No. 9 in shots (73) and shots on goal (37), tied for No. 10 in game-winning goals (3)… Ranked No. 8 in the program’s single-season records book in goals per game (0.29)… Ranked No. 10 with her 1.07 shots on goal per game average… Tied for No. 5 with her four points recorded in a single game (10/16 vs. UC Riverside) by recording her second career brace… Those two goals push her tied for No. 2 for the most goals scored in a single game… Also took six shots in that same game against the Highlanders, which places her in a 10-way tie for the most shots earned in a single game… Finished the season ranked No. 2 on the team with eight points… Led the team with four goals and 15 shots on goal… Ranked No. 4 on the team with 21 shots… Collected one game-winning goal… Her four points, five shots on goal and two goals vs. UCR were a season-high single-game total among all Aggies.
2015: BIG WEST ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM... Breakout year saw Smith Ahr set the following single-season records: T-No. 3 in shots on goal (22), No. 4 in shots attempted (52), No. 6 in shots per game (2.74), T-No. 6 in goals (5) and game-winning goals (2), T-No. 7 in shots on goal per game (1.16), T-No. 10 in points (10)... Became the 10th Aggie in the program's Div. I era to record four points in a single game by scoring twice vs. Denver (9/6) — a total that ranks her T-No. 5... Only 14 players in the team's D-I era have scored two or more goals in a game; she is now one of them... Shots per game average and goals totals were the fifth-highest totals in the league... Held team-high points (10), shots (52), shots on goal (22) and goals (5) figures for the season... Scored the second-highest amount of game-winning goals among all Aggies... Named a starter in 15 of 19 games played.
2014: Tied for No. 2 on the team with one goal... Finished No. 5 on the squad in shots on goal (5)... Scored her first goal as an Aggie in front of a hometown crowd when UC Davis visited UC Santa Barbara (10/12)... Named to the starting lineup in eight of her 19 games played... Took a season-high two shots vs. San Francisco (9/12), at Nevada (9/19), and at UCSB.
USC (2013): Named a starter in one of her six games played... One of two shots recorded was on goal... Earned one assist.
DOS PUEBLOS HS '13: Earned first team all-league recognition three times... Earned All-CIF Southern Section recognition as a junior and senior... Also captured the Southern Section Academic Award from the CIF in 2012... Second-team all-league selection as a freshman... Smith Ahr was the only first-year player to receive league accolades... Scored 40 goals throughout her 72 games played at Dos Pueblos... Also recorded a collective 25 career assists... Santa Barbara Roundtable, a non-profit organization that supports amateur athletics at 15 area schools, named her as its Female Soccer Athlete of the Year last season... Competed for the Santa Barbara Soccer Club... Named to Cal South's ODP summer pool in 2010 and '11... Lifetime member of her school California Scholarship Federation and National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Born in Tampa, Florida... Parents are Michelle and James Scott Smith... Her older sister, Megan, attended Cal Poly before transferring to Minot State... Both grandfathers played sports at their respective universities: Jim played football at Penn State, Tom Eccleston earned varsity letters at Army... Jim also played football for the Los Angeles Rams... Tom Eccleston, Jr., her uncle, played basketball at Chico State before donning a Milwaukee Bucks jersey... Enjoys hiking, visiting the beach, stargazing and watching movies... Leading Dos Pueblos to its first-ever victory over rival Buena High School, during the 2010 season, is her proudest personal accomplishment... Not many people know that she cannot stand eating bananas or sushi... Stopping two penalty kicks to help her team win the Cerritos College Memorial Day tournament is her career sports highlight... Smith Ahr is a communication major... Selected UC Davis due to its academic and athletic reputation... The Los Angeles Coliseum is her favorite facility that she has competed in... "Life is not fair, get over it," is the best piece of advice she has received, courtesy of her mom.
