IRVINE, Calif. - UC Davis women's soccer went up against a tough opponent in No. 23 ranked UC Irvine, dropping a 6-0 contest on Sunday, at Crawford Field in Irvine, Calif.

After a 2-0 lead at halftime the Anteaters scored four second half goals en route to the win.  Tanya Taylor poured in seven points, after two goals and three assists in the win for UCI.  With the loss, the Aggies dropped to 5-5-1 and 0-2 in the Big West, while UCI improved to 10-1-2 and 2-0 in league play.

UCI wasted no time extending their lead, as Lexi Kopf converted on a goal just four minutes later.  Kopf scored her fifth goal of the season, taking a cross from Taylor before putting the Anteaters on top 2-0.

Despite out shooting UCI 8-7 in the first half, the Aggies couldn't capitalize on a goal, keeping the score at 2-0 during the intermission.

It was all Anteaters in the second half, as UCI scored four goals to put the contest out of reach.
