SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Shuree Hyatt recorded her first career hat trick ad goalkeeper Stephanie Beall posted her fourth shutout of the season as the USF Dons defeated UC Davis, 5-0, in a non-conference women's soccer game Friday evening at Negoesco Stadium.

With the loss the Aggies fall to 3-8-1 on the season while the Dons improve to 6-3-3.

The Aggies had a chance to get on the board first in the fifth minute but senior defender Katie Shesgreen's penalty kick was stopped by Beall. It was the best chance UC Davis would have on the night as the USF controlled play the rest of the way.

In the 17th minute Hyatt had the only goal USF needed as she took a pass from Chelsea Hunt and beat Aggie goalkeeper Krystyn Lizak for the game's first score. It remained 1-0 through halftime as the Dons held an 11-2 edge in shots.

In the second half USF put the game away early as it scored its remaining four goals in the first 18 minutes of the half. Stephanie Gray made it 2-0 in the 54th minute while Hyatt added her second just over a minute later.

USF added its two final goals within a 28-second span as Annika Schmidt had her fifth goal of the season at the 63:02 mark while Hyatt tallied her final goal at 63:30.

For the game USF outshot UC Davis, 19-5, and held a commanding 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Lizak spent the first half in net for UC Davis, recording four saves and surrendering just the one goal. Freshman Megan Daws played the second half, allowing four goals and making one save.

UC Davis is next in action on Sunday when it hosts Colorado College at Aggie Field. Gametime is set for noon.
