IRVINE, Calif. - Sita Kuteira had the game-winner in the 18th minute while Lindsey Raymond added a goal and an assist as UC Davis posted a 2-0 victory over UC Irvine in a women's non-conference soccer match Sunday afternoon at Anteater Stadium.

With the win the Aggies improve to 6-9-1 while the Anteaters fall to 4-12-2.

Kuteira took a pass from Raymond on a breakaway down the field and took a shot that hit the crossbar. The ball dropped straight down, just crossing the goal line for what proved to be the game-winner. Raymond gave the Aggies an insurance goal 15 minutes later as she received a cross from Annie McAllister and beat Anteater goalkeeper Marissa Welliver for her team-leading ninth goal of the season.

In the second half UC Irvine outshot the Aggies by an 9-3 margin, but were not able to push one past Aggie keeper Krystyn Lizak. The junior made four saves in posting her third shutout of the season.

UC Davis is next in action on Sunday when it travels to Stockton to face the University of the Pacific. Gametime is set for noon.
