Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Academic Honor

DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis women's soccer team has been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America with a team academic award, the third consecutive year the Aggies have been recognized by the organization for outstanding achievement in the classroom.

UC Davis, coached by Maryclaire Robinson, was honored for a team GPA of 3.05. The NSCAA sponsors several academic awards and the Aggies have been regulars on the team awards chart since 2010. An impressive 75 percent of NCAA Division I women's teams earned distinction on the list.

The Aggies recently completed the 2010 season with an 8-9-2 season, highlighting their season by going unbeaten over their first five matches and posting a 5-3-1 home record.
