2017: Started at second base for all 54 games of the season, just one of four players to start every game… Ranked fourth on the team in runs batted in (17) and second in triples (2)… Her two triples came against Fresno State on February 26 and Sacramento State on March 1… Picked up two season-high three-hit games… The first against Oregon State on March 3, where she finished 3-for-5 on the day with two RBI… The second game against Cal State Fullerton on April 15, where she went 3-for-4 with another two RBI… Hit a double in back-to-back days against Hawai’i (3/31-4/1)… Led the team when hitting with a runner on third with less than two outs, scoring seven runners in ten opportunities (.700)… Hit .333 with the bases loaded and .469 as the leadoff hitter… Defensively, led the team with 133 putouts and 107 assists for an overall .996 fielding percentage and committed just one error on the season.

2016: Redshirted and did not compete due to a season-ending injury.

2015:
 Named a starter in 27 of her 38 games played... All 27 starts took place at second base... One of four players responsible for the team's sacrifice flies total... Sotomayor hit hers at UCLA (3/8) and drove in her inaugural run as an Aggie... Scored her first collegiate run vs. Louisville (2/6)... Swiped her first bag the very next day at UNLV (2/7) in its own tournament... Posted season highs of four at-bats, two runs and two hits at UC Santa Barbara (4/19).

CESAR E. CHAVEZ HS '14:
Earned four varsity letters as her school's starting shortstop... Named team MVP all four seasons... Also earned first team all-league honors each season... Garnered first team all-area and CIF first team all-state (medium schools) accolades as a junior and senior.

PERSONAL: She is the oldest of Fernando and Lupe Soto's four children... Her younger siblings are Graciela, Gabbrielle and Adriana... Her aunt, Marisela, played intercollegiate sports at Bakersfield... Earning a Division I scholarship to play softball is her greatest personal accomplishment... Not many people know that she is Puerto Rican... She's funny - not many people know that either... Chose to attend UC Davis for its academic programs... Aspires to become a physical education teacher or ultrasound technician.
