2015: Graduated from UC Davis ranked No. 6 in the program's Division I history with a .352 on base percentage and tied for No. 9 with 43 runs... No Aggie in the program's D-I era has drawn more walks throughout her career than Bava (66)... For the second time in as many seasons, Bava recorded the second-highest single-season walks total (24) in the team's D-I era... Bava's 24 walks were the 10th-highest drawn in the Big West... One of four Aggies responsible for the team's sacrifice flies total... Ranked No. 3 among all Aggies with 20 runs and seven doubles... Drew a team-high three walks vs. Pacific (2/10)... Competed in all 49 games and started all but two... Named the team's centerfielder in all 47 games... Batted 2-for-3 and recorded a triple at Fresno State in the Fresno State Kick-Off (2/14)... Drove in three RBI vs. North Dakota at the San Diego Classic I (2/28) and vs. Illinois at the Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament (3/6)... Hit her fifth career home run at Hawai'i (5/8)... 2014: Drew a team-high 24 walks, the fifth-highest total in the league... Ranked No. 3 among all Aggies with her .357 on base percentage... Hit .435 as a leadoff batter... Named a starter in 47 of 50 games played... Started one game behind the plate, the rest of her start were nearly split down the middle in center (24) and right field (22)... Recorded a season-high three hits and two RBIs vs. North Dakota (3/15)... Also scored two runs in that same game... Recorded a hit in all four games at the Santa Clara Marriott Classic (3/1-2)... Hit her first home run of the season vs. Oregon (2/23)... Her other two were belted vs. North Dakota (3/15) and in the second game of a Saturday doubleheader at Cal State Fullerton (5/3).
2013: Led all Aggies with six doubles and 18 walks... Also finished No. 4 on the team with a .319 slugging pct., .338 on-base pct., one home run and 14 RBI... Of her 14 RBI, eight were earned with two outs... Named a starter in 41 of 46 games played, primarily in center field (36 gms.)... Also started four games as a DP and one in right field... Stole three bases in as many attempts... Hit .221 (25-for-113) in her inaugural season at UC Davis... Hit her first home run as an Aggie vs. Cal Poly (5/10, Gm. 1)... Batted a season-high 3-for-3 with a double at UC Riverside (4/20, Gm. 1)... Drove in a season-high two runs in that same game against the Highlanders... Also earned two RBIs vs. Santa Clara (2/17), at Hawai'i (3/30, Gm. 2) and against Cal Poly (5/10, Gm. 2).
UTAH STATE (2011-12): Redshirted 2012 season... Started 47 of 53 games as a freshman, batting .293 (39-for-133)... Also ranked among team leaders in runs (22) and RBI (21)... Rapped out six doubles and two homers... Selected as school's Student-Athlete of the Week (voted by state-wide media panel) for 4/17/11, having scored the winning run in two wins against Boise State.
HUGHSON HS '10: All-state honoree and Trans Valley League MVP as a senior... Earned three All-TVL nods... Batted .443 with 43 RBIs in final season... Played summer ball for Modesto Lady Warriors from 2005-10.
PERSONAL: Born in Turlock, California... Majoring in human development... Parents are Mike & Julia Bava... Julia pitched for Utah State's softball team, and was a member of the 1984 squad that advanced to the College World Series... Utah State finished in the top eight and received a No. 1 national ranking during the '81 season... Niece of UC Davis senior associate A.D. Cindy Spiro.
