BURLINGAME HS '12: Garnered All-Peninsula Athletic League honors in volleyball, soccer and softball (twice)... Also served as team captain in all three sports... Named Offensive Player of the Year in softball as a junior, batting .375 with .427 OBA... Improved to .395 batting, .471 OBA, .605 slugging as a senior... Played for San Jose Sting in 2010 and 2012, helping team to third-place finishes at Premier nationals and Colorado Independence tourneys in final season.

PERSONAL: Born in Palo Alto, Calif.... Majoring in design... Parents are Randal & Sharon Diekman... Both parents and older brother Greg are Cal Poly grads, but follows tradition of two uncles, an aunt and grandfather in attending UC Davis.
