Also made three appearances as a relief pitcher... Had 7 multi-hit and 6 multi-RBI games... Went 2-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs against top-ranked Arizona State (3/7)... Enjoyed strong three-game set at Cal Poly, batting 5-for-7 with 3 doubles in Saturday doubleheader (5/3) then added 1-for-3 day to conclude series on that Sunday (5/4).
2007: Started 46 of 51 games played, all at first base... Batted .236 (30-for-127) with 15 RBIs... Added 4 doubles and 2 homers... First collegiate HR was 2-run shot vs. Connecticut (3/3)... Had 6 multi-hit games, including 3-for-4 and 2-for-3 performances in doubleheader vs. Pacific (3/31)... Hit 3-for-4 with a run and 3 RBIs at UC Riverside to launch 5-for-9 weekend (4/6-4/7), earning Div. I Independent Player of the Week honors... Rapped RBI double in 2-for-4 game vs. Stanford (5/8).
MURRIETA VALLEY HS '06: Captured All-Southwestern League and All-Valley accolades all four years as a pitcher/first baseman... Added an All-Riverside County first-team nod in 2006... Selected as Nighthawk of the Year as a senior... Batted .310 offensively, and 11-1 with 0.77 ERA with 100 strikeouts in 82.0 innings in her final season... Helped lead team to three Southern Section playoff berths, including 2006 quarterfinals... Graduated with 4.0 GPA.
PERSONAL: Born in Riverside, Calif.... Majoring in sociology... Parents are Richard & Andria Emde, whom she lists as non-sports heroes... Proudest personal achievement was earning straight A's as a senior at MVHS... Hopes to become an athletics director.
