2008: ALL-BIG WEST CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM... Led team and finished 4th in Big West Conference with 2.42 ERA... Posted 17-22 record with 225 strikeouts (2nd in conference)... Allowed .245 batting average, 5th among Big West peers... Completed 29 of 37 starts (in 43 total appearances), including 5 shutouts... Fired back-to-back shutouts against Winthrop (2/10) and Seton Hall (2/15)... Had five games with 10-plus strikeouts, including 11 twice.
2007: ALL-DIV. I INDEPENDENT FIRST TEAM... Led Aggies in most pitching categories, finishing at 16-12 with 1.98 ERA in 35 appearances (29 starts)... Paced team in complete games (18), shutouts (5), innings (191.1) and strikeouts (203)... Issued only 64 walks and surrendered just 6 homers in 734 at-bats... Twice earned D-I Independent Pitcher of the Week honors... First such honor was for fanning 11 in 11 innings during three-game set vs. Pacific (3/31-4/1)... Added second award after striking out 17 Long Beach State batters in 12 innings while posting 2-0 record with 1.17 ERA (5/5-5/6)... Had season-high 13 strikeouts in 12.2-inning marathon vs. Cal State Fullerton (4/28)... Previous best was 11 whiffs in 6.1 innings at Nevada (4/18)... Was particularly tough on Big West Conference teams, firing 8-3 record with 1.14 ERA in 14 appearances against future leaguemates.
2006: Played and started 9 games before suffering season-ending injury... Batted 2-for-12 (.167) with 2 runs scored... Granted medical hardship season
2005: Was team's leading pitcher until being sidelined early in season... Finished 1-9 with team-best 2.09 ERA... Fanned 76 batters in 67.0 innings... Struck out 14 Gaels in 2-hit shutout vs. Saint Mary's during Aztec Invitational (2/5)... Later registered 13 strikeouts and no ER in 7.1 innings vs. Iowa (3/11)... Started 31 games in the lineup, batting 13-for-80 (.163) with 4 doubles... Went 5-for-13 (.385) with 3 doubles, 4 RBI at Aztec Invitational (2/4-2/6)... Hit 3-for-5 with 2 runs and a double in twinbill at Sacramento State (2/9).
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Millikan HS and Wilson HS for two years each... Graduated from WHS in 2004... Garnered All-Moore League honors all four years, including first-team distinction three times... Selected as league MVP as a senior... Also named to Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Team that year... Voted team MVP twice and Best Offensive Player three times... Played ASA ball for California Cruisers (La Palma, Calif.) from 2002-04.
