UC Davis' freshmen play like anything but to help the Aggies earn their first Division I win at Hawai'i

2017: Named the starting first baseman in 45 of 47 games played... Ranked third on the team in runs batted in (20), fourth in doubles (5), third in home runs (2), and tied for third in walks (16)... Recorded a season-high four RBI against Princeton on March 19, finishing 2-for-4 with double... Hit her first career home run at Hawai'i on April 1 in game one of the double header, adding a run and two RBI to her total... She hit her second home run of the season off Cal State Fullerton on April 14 to cap off a 3-RBI day... Finished the year hitting .284 with runners on, .333 with the bases loaded, .417 with a runner on third and less than two outs... Marked a career-high 14 putouts against Cal Poly on April 29.

VACAVILLE HS '16: Four-year letterwinner... Led her team to Monticello Empire League titles in 2014 and '16... VHS also won a Sac-Joaquin CIF sectional championship in '14... Batted .446, selected team captain by her teammates and earned first team all-league honors as a senior... As a junior, she hit. 533, earned first team all-league, Offensive Player of the Year and River Cats All-City Team accolades... 2014 Fighting Bulldog Award and Coaches Award recipient as a sophomore... That year, MaxPreps ranked Vacaville High No. 12; the team ended the year ranked No. 11... In her first season as a Bulldog, she hit .451, receved first team All-MEL and Offensive Player of the Year recognition... 

PERSONAL: The middle of Monique and Ricky Rojas' three children... Courtney and Alyse are her older and younger siblings... Her cousin, Alexis Rojas, graduated from UC Davis in 2014... Sorcerers is her club team; she was a member for eight years... Her club won a 2011 Triple Crown World Series Gold Championship, finished third at the 2013 PGF Nationals and 13th at the 2015 Nationals... Signing a NLI to compete for UC Davis is her proudest personal accomplishment... Best athlete she has competed against is her sister, Alyse... Hitting a home run in her high school's sectional championship game is her career sports highlight... Would choose soccer if she could play another sport at UC Davis... Interested in pursuing a nursing career, or another medical profession, after she graduates... Hanging out with her friends, family and her dog, Coco, are her favorite hobbies... Traveling to Greece, visiting Walt Disney World and watching the ball drop in Times Square on New Year's Eve are the top things on her bucket list... The location and outstanding academics are the reasons she chose UC Davis.
