Batted .333 (55-for-165) with 15 extra-base hits (9 doubles, 2 triples, 4 homers) and 26 RBI... Captured all-tournament honors at both regional and national tournaments... Hit 12-for-29 with 3 homers in postseason, including two blasts in advancing game vs. Georgia College & State (5/17)... Had 10 multi-hit games, including five with 3-plus safeties... Hit 4-for-4 with 3 RBI vs. Seattle (4/5)... Opened season with 9-game hitting streak, then had 8-game run through regional.

2002: Started 39 of 40 total appearances, mostly at first base... Finished 3rd on team with .316 average... Hit .361 (26-for-72) in CCAA games... Blasted first career homer vs. S.W. Oklahoma State, a fifth-inning solo shot off Nisha Dickson (3/1)... Had 10 multi-hit games, including 3-for-3 effort at Sonoma (4/26)... Went 5-for-6 with 4 RBI in that doubleheader... Appeared in 13 errorless games at catcher (60 chances).

2001: Appeared in 43 games, starting 38... All starts were at first, but also spelled catcher Angie Linsenmeyer three times... Had 6 sacrifices in 76 plate appearances... Had pair of multi-hit games, both vs. Sonoma State (3/10 & 4/27)... Had bases-clearing 2B to highlight 6-2 win in latter effort.

VALENCIA HS '00: Garnered All-Foothill League second team and L.A. Daily News All-Star honors as a senior... Played catcher as a freshman, then first base her final three seasons... Team qualified for Southern Section playoffs in 1999 and 2000, advancing to the third round her senior year... Four-year scholar-athlete... Named MVP at Thousand Oaks Tournament in 2000... Honor roll all four years.

PERSONAL: Born Apr. 20, 1982 in Culver City, Calif... Majoring in biological sciences... Aspires for career in medical biological research... Favorite movies are Magnolia and American Beauty... Nicknamed "Shelly"... Distant cousin of teammate Sue Yale (Michelle's grandfather married Sue's grandmother soon after arriving to U.S.)... Plays ASA summer ball for SoCal Shilos, earning all-state honors in 2000.
