A three-year standout at Santa Clara, Rachel Sherman enters her fourth season as an assistant to Aggie head coach Karen Yoder.

Sherman captured first-team All-Pacific Coast Softball Conference honors as a senior in 2004, leading the league with a .448 average. She helped lead SCU to a second straight 30-win season and the conference title that season. Sherman also was selected as her team's Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore.

Before joining the Broncos, Sherman was a second-team Easton NFCA All-America pick and All-Cal JC honoree at West Valley College in 2001. She batted .474 with 10 homers and led all California two-year colleges with 59 RBIs.

Originally from Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, Sherman graduated with a bachelor's degree in studio art in 2004. Received her master's degree in health, P.E. and recreation from Saint Mary's in 2007.
