DAVIS, Calif. - Deanna Menapace has received ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive year. The junior catcher for the UC Davis softball team has been named second team All-District. Menapace led the Aggies in several offensive categories this season.

The Livermore, Calif., native batted .266 and led the team with 33 RBIs. She was also the team leader in doubles and tied for the team-high with six homeruns. Menapace played in all 60 games and finished among the top-10 in the Big West Conference in homers, RBIs, doubles and walks. Her efforts this season also included being named Big West Player of the Week on March 10.

A total of 22 players received All-District honors with 11 on both the first and second teams. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and sophomore status. Last year, Menapace received first team All-District honors.
