DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis softball and head coach Karen Yoder will offer an all-skills and pitcher/catcher softball camps this summer. Both will run from June 18-20 and take place at La Rue Field on the campus of UC Davis.
Participants can register for the session of their choice at ucdavissportscamps.com/softball/; UC Davis coaches, players and alumnae will staff all summer camps.
Each camper must bring her own glove, bat, cleats, batting helmet, snack and/or lunch. Campers are also encouraged to bring a water bottle, sunblock and visor.
Parking is available in a public lot just south of the diamond off La Rue Rd. and Orchard Rd. for $6 per day.
Open to all girls between the ages of 5-12, all-skills camp is designed to help players improve their basic softball skills through age appropriate drills, training, and competition in a fun and enjoyable environment. Participants will also receive a UC Davis camp t-shirt.
A three-day pitcher/catcher camp, created for two of the most important positions on the field, is also available for girls ages 10-18. Pitchers and catchers will be grouped by skill levels and receive intensive instruction in the fundamentals and skills needed to master their respective positions.
Per NCAA rules, sport camps and clinics conducted by UC Davis are open to all entrants. Enrollment is limited only by age, grade level, gender, and capacity restrictions.
