DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis softball will offer two types of softball camps for high school student-athletes entering grades 8-12 throughout the months of July, August, September and October.
All-Skills camps will take place at La Rue Field, located on UC Davis' main campus, on July 18, Aug. 20 and Oct. 1. Two Day in the Life camps, also taking place at the home of UC Davis softball, are set for July 19 and Sept. 9.
Space is limited for each camp; participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure their spot.
During the one-day all-skills camps, UC Davis' softball coaches will help campers strengthen their skill set and sharpen their fundamentals in a fun-filled environment.
Throughout each Day in the Life camp, softball players will experience firsthand the experience of a Division I softball student-athlete. Throughout the day, campers will participate in classes -- similar to the ones Aggie softball players attend each season -- that cover such topics as mental training and game strategy, take part in agility and conditioning workouts and a typical softball practice.
Participants are asked to bring their own equipment (gloves, bats, helmets, catching gear, shoes, etc.) water bottle and sunscreen.
