DAVIS, Calif. - Rachel Miller, a member of the UC Davis softball team, recently helped lead her ASA team to a national championship. The catcher, who completed her freshman campaign for the Aggies last season, is also a member of the Southern California Hurricanes 23-Under team. The Hurricanes won last month's national championship in Sterling, Va., by posting a 5-1 record at the tournament.

Miller started 51 games last year for UC Davis and finished tied for the second on the team in home runs while driving in 15 runs. She also was one of the toughest catchers to steal against in the Big West as she threw out 12 would-be base stealers. She also picked off three runners.
