Team earns fifth-straight academic award

2013-14: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE... Competed in four fall tournament singles matches... Won one of five fall doubles matches played with Claire Jaramishian... Defeated Cal Poly's Haley Kepler and Sayaka Tsugai in the consolation quarterfinal round at the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational (10/11-13)... Won her only doubles match played alongside Kamila Kecki... Meunier and Kecki defeated Cal State Stanislaus' Jessica Stokes and Kaitlyn Ireland, 8-1.
CRESCENT VALLEY HS '13: Earned four letters as a member of Crescent Valley High School's girls' tennis team... Compiled a cumulative 41-1 record in singles and doubles competition... From 2011-13, Meunier's team finished in first place in Districts... On an individual basis, she finished third at districts in singles in 2012, and second in doubles the following season... At the state championships, Crescent Valley finished second in 2013; Meunier also captures second place in doubles action... Earned student-athlete recognition all four years... Received the Athletic Scholar and CV Scholar Student awards as a senior... The former was received for possessing a 3.5 GPA or higher while competing in athletics, the latter earned by graduating with a 3.9 GPA or higher.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Dr. Lisbeth Goddik and Patrick Meunier... Her older brother, Christian, attends Oregon, her younger sister, Julie, is a high school senior... Her most memorable athletics moment took place when she captured second place doubles at the Oregon State Championships with her sister as a partner... Justine Henin is her sports hero... Chose to attend UC Davis due to its outstanding biology program... Plans on finishing medical school after receiving her undergraduate degree, and would like to pursue a career as an orthopedic surgeon... Would love to visit Spain... When not on the courts, she enjoys playing soccer... Her advice to others, "The more you put in, the more you get out."
