UC Davis tops UC Riverside in regular season finale

2016-17: BIG WEST ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM...Closed out her senior season with a 10-8 overall, 4-4 dual, 6-4 tournament and 1-3 conference singles record... Opened up the year with three straight wins at the Cal Nike Fall Invitational (9/30-10/02) over Santa Clara, California and University of San Francisco... went 2-1 at No. 5 and 2-3 at No. 6 in dual play... Finished 11-11 overall, 10-10 dual, 1-1 tournament and 1-4 conference in doubles... played every doubles dual at No. 3... Played her first two and final four matches with Kamila Kecki for a 2-3 overall and 1-0 conference record with a win over UC Riverside... played 20 of her 26 doubles matches with Nikita Pradeep...The pair rallied for a 9-8 overall record but were unable to record a win in Big West Conference play.

2015-16: Posted a 6-8 overall, 5-3 dual and 1-2 Big West singles record... Dropped her only singles match played at No. 5 and won five of seven matches at No. 6... Recorded victories in five of seven matches during the Aggies' season-ending homestand... Split her 10 overall doubles matches played... Of that 10, she also split her two doubles dual contests... Those two dual results took place at No. 3 alongside Alex Huie.

Posted a 5-4 overall singles and 2-4 doubles record... All five of her singles victories were earned in tournament play... Both doubles victories were earned during fall competition... Earned one doubles win alongside Jessie Lee... Only doubles match with Lani-Rae Green took place at Sacramento State (1/30).

ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE... Finished her inaugural season at UC Davis with a 12-12 doubles record... Tiffany Pham competed alongside Martino in 19 of 24 doubles matches... The pair won both matches at No. 2 and posted a 7-10 record at No. 3... Martino and Pham won six of their final 10 matches played... The duo also held a seven-match unbeaten streak that stretched from March 12-April 8... The other five doubles matches took place with Kamila Kecki as her partner... Martino and Kecki split their four matches played throughout the fall season and won their lone doubles dual at No. 3.

SEVEN LAKES HS '13: Earned four varsity letters as a member of head coach Kevin McIlvain's girls' tennis team at Seven Lakes High School... In doubles action alongside senior teammate Nicole Breaux, the duo competed in five tournaments in early 2013, advanced to the finals of each event and won three championships...Captured a district doubles championship in 2010... As a senior, Martino and Breaux recently captured a district and regional championship in addition to earning a No. 3 state ranking...As a singles player, Martino advanced to the regionals on two occasions... After finishing as district runner-up with a No. 3 regional ranking in 2011, she won a singles district championship as a senior to finish her season ranked No. 4.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Kirie and Ronald Martino... Has a younger sister, Annabelle... Also enjoys playing volleyball... Li Na is her sports hero... Chose to attend UC Davis because she loves California and the school offered everything she was looking for... Texas A&M's tennis center is her favorite facility that she has competed at... Would love to visit China... "Relax and swing," is her advice to others.
