IRVINE, Calif. - The Big West Conference announced its women's tennis post-season honors on Tuesday, and UC Davis freshman Dahra Zamudio has received second-team singles recognition. The Aggie was one of just five freshmen to be named to either the first team or second team.
Zamudio completed a stellar inaugural UC Davis campaign in which she posted a 14-8 record in singles and a 12-13 mark in doubles. She went 13-7 in dual singles with the majority of her wins coming at either No. 2 or No. 3. Zamudio won six of her seven matches at No. 2 while going 5-4 at No. 3. She also went 1-1 at both No. 1 and No. 4. Zamudio closed the season with nine wins in her final 12 matches.
Last week, UC Davis closed out its third straight season with 11 or more wins.
