LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Senior middle blocker Jennie Wilson led all hitters with 16 kills and a .462 average as 10th-ranked UC San Diego swept UC Davis 30-20, 30-25, 30-25 in California Collegiate Athletic Association women's volleyball action at the RIMAC Arena Saturday in front of 301.

The Aggies fall to 6-12 on the season, and 2-7 in conference play. The Tritons improve to 13-3 overall and 7-2 in league.

UC Davis was led by Kelly Gaudino with 11 kills and 12 digs, while libero Mary McClelland had a match-high 13 digs. Junior Ellen Fitzpatrick had nine kills against one error on 16 attempts for a .500 hitting average to highlight the Aggie offense.

UCSD hit .389 in Game 1 to take a 30-20 win, then had almost identical offensive numbers in the second and third games. The Tritons posted 21 kills in each of those two games, on 51 and 50 attempts, respectively.

Triton sophomore Katie Hogan added 10 kills and hit .471 while Lauren Mills and Teresa Ohta each recorded 10 digs to lead the Tritons defensively. Ohta also tallied a match-high 52 assists at setter.

The Aggies return home next weekend for matches against Cal St. Bakersfield and Cal St. Stanislaus.
