Gaudino, who had earned Molten CCAA Player of the Week honors the previous weekend, committed just six errors on 41 attempts to compile a .390 hitting average. She also had nine digs on floor defense. Senior middle blocker Cassandra Prell led UC Davis at the net, recording six blocks.
Michelle Clary was the only Toro in double-figured kills, knocking down 11 total and seven during the first game. Richelle Gingerich had a team-best 10 digs for the match.
The Aggies overcame an early deficit to take a 25-22 in Game 2, and strong blocking helped finish the frame and take a 2-0 advantage. UC Davis outslugged CSUDH by a 22-to-7 difference in kills during Game 3 to complete the sweep. The Aggies hit .268 in Game 1, .242 in Game 2 and .256 in Game 3.
The win also marked the return of Marritt Cafarchia, who had missed the four previous matches due to injury. She recorded 27 assists while fellow setter Mary Gaber set up 16 winners and hit 4-0-6 on offense.
The Aggies face Cal State L.A. Saturday to complete their two-match road trip.
