CHICO, Calif. --- Stacey Clifton and Staci Gorubec each put up 15 kills to lead Chico State to a 30-19, 30-19, 30-15 sweep over UC Davis in a California Collegiate Athletic Association women's volleyball match at Acker Gym Wednesday.

The Aggies drop to 8-19 on the season, and 4-14 in CCAA play. The Wildcats move up to 16-6 overall and 12-6 in conference.

UC Davis managed only 22 kills for the match and hit an even .000 for the three games. Junior outside hitter Kelly Gaudino led offensively with eight kills while libero Mary McClelland recorded a team-high nine digs. The Aggies committed more errors than they had kills across the final two games.

Clifton accounted for six of Chico's 13 aces, while Gorubec led three Wildcats with double-figured digs, picking up 13. Becky Stutte and Katie Heinz each recorded 10 digs for Chico State.

The win also represented the 300th collegiate victory for head coach Jim Moore, now in his second season at Chico State.

The Aggies return home for continued CCAA action against eighth-ranked UC San Diego Friday.
