BAKERSFIELD, Calif. --- Outside hitter Jessica Slayton had 12 kills and hit .417 to help Cal St. Bakersfield sweep UC Davis, 30-20, 30-20, 32-30, in a California Collegiate Athletic Assocation women's volleyball match at the Icardo Center Friday evening.

The Aggies fall to 9-22 on the season, and 4-17 in conference play. The Roadrunners, hoping to stay in NCAA playoff contention, improve to 16-11 on the season and 13-8 in league.

Junior Kelly Gaudino had a match-high 14 kills against just two errors to hit .353 to lead UC Davis, which hit .300 as a team in a close Game 3.

Slayton was one of four Roadrunners to hit higher than .400 for the match, posting a .417 average. Lindsey Jordan had 10 kills and one error to hit .409, while setter Lisa North added a .467 offensive clip to her 40 assists. Nicole Brandt-Young recorded a .625 average on eight errorless attempts. As a team, the Roadrunners managed a .345 hitting percentage.

Aggie sophomore Kate Wilton was the only player on either team to record a double-double, posting 10 kills and 10 digs.

UC Davis finishes its season with a road match at Cal St. Stanislaus Saturday.
