DAVIS, Calif. - Holland Seymour, a senior at North Torrance High School and a member of the Sunshine VBC 18-1 Westside squad, signed a National Letter of Intent to play women's volleyball at UC Davis, head coach Jamie Holmes announced during the April signing period.

Seymour is expected to enroll at the university in the fall of 2011. She joins Marin County star Katie Quinn to form the program's 2010-11 NLI signing class.

As a setter and right-side hitter for the Saxons, Seymour earned team MVP and first-team All-Pioneer League honors as both a junior and senior. She averaged 6.5 kills per match in 2009 then improved to a 7.5 average as a senior captain. Seymour also compiled 221 digs and 93 blocks during her final two varsity seasons.

In the club scene, Seymour helped Long Beach Mizuno 18 Rockstar to a ninth-place finish at the Junior Olympics after winning the Northern Lights qualifier in Minnesota. She later switched to Sunshine VBC, boosting the 18-1 Westside team to a runner-up showing at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier.

UC Davis went 16-13 overall and 9-7 in the Big West Conference in 2010. The Aggies graduated three seniors: opposite Melanie Adams, outside hitter/libero Kayla Varney and defensive specialist Esther Hon.
