A season-opening tournament, road trips to Portland State, Santa Clara and Arizona, plus the tough Big West Conference composes the 2018 UC Davis women's volleyball schedule, as announced by director of women's volleyball Dan Conners.

The Aggies, who went 16-14 with an 8-8 conference record a year ago, will host former Division II rival Sonoma State for a preseason scrimmage before bringing in Utah Valley, Holy Cross, Nevada and Northern Arizona for the Aggie Invitational at the end of August. Holy Cross represents one of three first-time opponents for UC Davis, along with UT Martin and Arizona.

Also highlighting the preseason slate is the annual Causeway Classic match with Sacramento State, this time at the Nest on Tuesday, September 4. The Big West season begins at Cal Poly two weeks later, with the September 21 meeting with Hawai'i serving as the conference home opener.
