Stanford star Larry Bercutt sixth his fourth year as a volunteer assistant with UC Davis women's water polo. He works with the Aggie goalkeepers.
As a goalie for the Cardinal in the early 1990s, Bercutt earned three All-America nods, including first-team honors in his junior and senior seasons. In 1993, he helped Stanford to a 24-6 record and the program's seventh NCAA title. In fact, Bercutt played for an Aggie -- UC Davis swimming and water polo alumnus Dante Dettamanti. He earned Co-Tournament MVP honors at that national championship.
Also the top male scholar-athlete of the year at Stanford, Bercutt later earned his M.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. He now practices as an anesthesiologist in Sacramento.
