The Aggies will officially round out their 2017-2018 season with the Big West Conference Championships (Apr. 27-29) at Irvine, Calif.


No. 9 Aggies honor seniors in Saturday home finale

UC Davis takes on No. 3 Cal at the Schaal Aquatics Center before heading to the Big West Conference Championships the following week (Apr. 27-29)

2018: ALL-BIG WEST HONORABLE MENTION…  Played in 25 games total, and played 467 minutes… Rounded up a total of 33 goals, 26 steals and 22 drawn exclusions… Was one of the three runner-ups in drawn five-meter fouls (2) and assists… Was the lead scorer in seven games total, and had four games scoring a hat trick… Her highest scoring game was four goals, which was received in the game against Pacific on Mar. 3.

2017: Showed up in 28 games over a time of 417 minutes… Collected nine goals, two of which were scored in the game with UC San Diego’s team (2/12)… Had eight assists, two earned in the Occidental game (2/18), and nine steals, two coming from the San Jose State game (2/14)… Also tallied up 10 drawn exclusions and six field blocks throughout the season.

VINTAGE HS '16: Four-time All-Sac-Joaquin Section honoree, including first-team distinction as a junior and senior... Added All-Napa County first-team acclaim during final three seasons... Scored 107 goals with 144 steals en route to Monticello Empire League MVP nod in 2015... Selected to NISCA All-America third team as a senior... Fifth-team All-American in 2014, thanks in part to 63 goals and 54 assists... Set Crusher record for 196 steals in a season as a sophomore... Also an All-MEL performer and team MVP in swimming... Played three seasons with nearby Davis WPC.

PERSONAL: Born in Napa, Calif.... Majoring in communication... Parents are Mark & Laura Schafle... Nicknamed "Squishy," but apparently the backstory is a lengthy one... Proudest personal accomplishment comes from coaching: watching three girls from her first team "grow in ability and love for the sport"... Career sports highlight was her selection as an alternate for the U.S. Youth National Team... Would title her autobiography, Just A Cat Lady Among Dog Lovers.
