UC Davis women's water polo opens new season at San Jose State
Blessed with a cannon of a shooting arm, Uribe scored 81 goals in two seasons as an Aggie center, while adding 24 steals and 61 drawn exclusions. As a senior in 2008, she helped the program capture the Western Water Polo Association and earn a berth at the NCAA Championship, where UC Davis placed fourth. For her part, Uribe earned second-team All-WWPA distinction and ACWPC All-America honorable mention. Additionally, her 51 goals that year is tied for seventh on the school's all-time season list.
Uribe came to UC Davis by way of Chaffey College, where she was a two-time All-American. She ranked among the state community college leaders in all major statistical categories both seasons, tallying 219 goals, 85 assists and 134 steals in that span. Uribe previously starred for Jurupa Valley HS and Riverside WPC, scoring 220 goals in her final two varsity seasons.
