STOCKTON, Calif. --- Melissa Agee scored two goals to lead UC Davis to a 7-2 win over Pacific in a collegiate women's water polo game Saturday. Her first goal ended a scoreless tie that lasted 16 ticks into the second period.

The Aggies improve to 5-4 on the season, while the Tigers fall to 1-3.

Both teams lost key offensive contributors to foul trouble early in the game. UC Davis' Brittany Russell committed her second foul with just under three minutes remaining in the first period. Then Pacific's leading scorer, Jessica Schroeder, took her second ejection 19 seconds later.

The Aggies' Beth Jay and Adri Killingsworth punched in a pair of goals to finish the first half with a 3-1 lead. UC Davis held the Tigers scoreless through the third quarter before Courtney Christy broke her team's scoring drought with a goal at 5:57 in the fourth.

Alia Hansen added the Aggies' seventh and final goal on a four-meter penalty shot with 1:52 remaining, icing the win.

"We finished the game well from an offensive standpoint," said UC Davis head coach Jamey Wright. "We took 25 shots and had just four turnovers. We were more disciplined on offensive and we played very good help defense."

Missy Duncan and Alli Johnstone also had goals for UC Davis. Freshman Kristin Pfaff posted three assists.
