DAVIS, Calif. - Senior center Hannah Curran garnered second-team honors while sophomore center Allyson Hansen picked up honorable mention, representing UC Davis on the 2014 All-Big West Conference squads for women's water polo, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.

This is the first all-conference nod for each Aggie.

Curran scored 36 goals with 13 assists, 11 steals and 24 drawn exclusions in her final UC Davis season. She totaled five hat tricks for the year, including one against then-No. 4 California in the season opener. Curran, a native of Martinez, Calif. and an alumna of College Park High School, finished with 103 career goals.

Hansen, who returned to action after sitting out 2013 due to injury, led the Aggies in goals (43), total points (64), 6-on-5 goals (18) and drawn exclusions (63 majors, nine five-meter). She also had 21 assists, a .453 shooting percentage, 25 steals and seven field blocks. Originally from Concord, Calif. and Clayton Valley High School, Hansen performed five hat tricks, including a four-goal game against No. 7 Cal State Northridge on March 30.

Danielle Warde captured Player of the Year while Dan Klatt was chosen as Coach of the Year, having led UC Irvine to its fifth Big West Conference title. Chloe Barr of Hawai'i earned Freshman of the Year accolades.

UC Davis finished 12-19 overall and placed sixth at the Big West tournament.
