The short story: UC Davis softball scored three runs over the final three frames to storm back against CSUN, taking down the Matadors with an eighth inning walk off victory on a wet and chilly day at La Rue Field.

LEADING OFF
- The win marks the fifth-straight Big West victory for the Aggies as they march towards the Big West Tournament
- Ashley Sawai got the win after throwing a pair of innings in relief, giving up just one earned run while striking out two and allowing no walks
- Caroline Grimes got the start, going six strong frames while giving up just one earned run, walking no one and striking out four
- Sydney Polli led the way for the Aggies at the dish, going 2-for-4
- While Olivia McFarland provided a pair of RBIs while going 1-for-2 with one walk and a sacrifice fly
HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUN scored first, getting two runs in the third after Grimes took care of business in the opening two frames
- The Aggies got one back in the fourth, thanks to McFarland's sacrifice fly to right that brough home Marley Panziera who had singled to lead off the inning
- Things stayed at 2-1 as Grimes locked in and after sitting the Matadors down in order to finish the top of the sixth, UC Davis came to bat looking to take the lead
- And in the sixth they did just that, scoring two runs when McFarland and Annika Norquist each had back-to-back two-out RBI singles that put the Aggies in front 3-2 heading into the seventh
- In that seventh inning, CSUN would tie things up after working one run across the plate to push things into extra innings
- After the first three Aggies got on, Norquist came to the dish with one out and the winning run 60-feet away and after battling with two strikes, the freshman catcher drew a game-winning walk that brought home Phillips and locked up the Aggie 4-3 comeback extra inning conference win
